Public Policy & Government relations

The Department of Public Policy and Government Relations represents the public policy priorities of The Anglican Church in North America in Washington, D.C. and helps equip Anglicans to think biblically and act practically about key issues facing our society today.

  • The Sanctity of HUman Life

We are proud to support a comprehensive whole life perspective that defends the dignity and sanctity of human life from natural conception through natural end.

  • Racial Reconciliation

As outlined in the Jerusalem Declaration, we celebrate the God-given diversity among us which enriches our global fellowship, and we acknowledge freedom in secondary matters. We pledge to work together to seek the mind of Christ on issues that divide us. God’s heart for the vulnerable and under-resourced moves us to work for justice, mercy, and reconciliation.

  • Environmental & Social Stewardship

We are mindful of our responsibility to be good stewards of God’s creation, to uphold and advocate justice in society, and to seek relief and empowerment of the poor and needy. We are ever mindful of the words of the Prophet Micah "He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?" - Micah 6:8 ESV
